The aspens are whispering in the wind, the warmth of the sun kisses your head gently, the smell of apple blossoms generously fills the air. You take that long, deep breath and realize that you have arrived. Prior to arrival at the farm, you may have been feeling overwhelmed, stuck, feeling unsupported and undervalued, struggling to find joy. Today you are going to let those thoughts and feelings rest, while you live in the present moment, surrounded in a circle of support. We invite you to become reenchanted with nature, immersing yourself in wonder, finding a renewed sense of connection. After a day of nurtured rest and reflection, you will leave feeling rejuvenated, valued, and heard. You will begin the journey in living your most authentic life, being true to yourself.

All Rainfall retreats are held at Gordon's Green Gables in Hugo, Minnesota, about 25 minutes outside of the Twin Cities. The center is located on the traditional land of the Dakota, Sioux, Anishinabe, Chippewa, and Ojibwa peoples. We are part of the Northern Great Lakes Forests bioregion, and the property features vast meadows, where the horses pasture in summer, as well as deciduous and coniferous trees.
Gordon's Green Gables is a space where we empower you embrace your authentic self in the full circle of creation, nurturing, connecting, and transforming. Here, you will find a renewed sense of self and a stronger sense of connectedness through the healing presence of nature. Let Mother Nature hold you during one of our equine retreats.
If you’ve carried deep emotional pain or feel an imbalance in your relationships—especially with your mother—you may be experiencing the effects of the Mother Wound. This wound often emerges from a strained or unfulfilled relationship with one’s mother, whether due to neglect, overprotection, or emotional distance.
This spring, we are offering you a gentle, compassionate space to begin your healing journey. Our program combines the quiet strength of horses with the nurturing support of online group circles, providing a safe and loving environment to reconnect with yourself and heal the past.

Please let us know if you do not have a yoga mat at registration so we can have one ready for you. Wear closed-toed shoes for working with the horses.
Most importantly, bring an open heart and an open mind.

Rainfall Therapy and Equine Retreats
Gordon's Green Gables sits on the traditional land of the Dakota, Sioux, Anishinabe, Chippewa, and Ojibwe peoples. We acknowledge their ancestors who lived in the Hugo area and were forcibly removed from here. Hugo was the summer land of the Dakota people who harvested wild rice from the lakes in this area. Honoring the past, present, and future Indigenous stewards of this land is one small way that we are working to decolonize and spread awareness of historical truths.
