From July 2024-June 2025, Rainfall Therapy and Consulting was given the opportunity to provide healing and wellness services from the Minnesota Department of Health and Emmett Till Legacy Foundation grant. The services listed below are FREE to community members who have experienced or been impacted by racism, discrimination, community violence, and trauma.
In September we will be offering two Trauma Healing and Mental Wellness Retreats. These retreats are FREE events specifically designed for individuals who have experienced or been impacted by racism, discrimination, community violence and trauma.
An intimate retreat setting for those wanting to find relief, renewal, rejuvenation, and release as we continue the healing journey. Using somatic based body work, new skills and techniques will be learned to find relief, renewal, rejuvenation, and release. We will integrate new ways to reconnect with self, others, animals, and the nature surrounding you.
Led by TaNesha Saxon and Monica Jones (MJ Consultants), Rainfall will be hosting Community Healing Circles throughout the Twin Cities over the next several months. These events are FREE and open to community members. These will be safe and supportive spaces for participants to share, heal, and connect through the principles of cultural wisdom. Our focus will be on healing, resilience, and self-compassion. The format may include open discussion, breakouts, and lectures as we identify various healing and grief
management related topics.
On February 22 2025, we will be hosting a healing and wellness fair in St. Paul where participants can engage in open conversations about mental wellbeing and access various healing practices.
This event is free and open to the community specifically design for Black, Indigenous or People of Color who have experiences or been impacted by racism, discrimination, community violence, or trauma.
There will be panel discussions to identify the diversity of healing modalities and create a sense of empowerment for
attendees. We hope to create opportunities for individuals to seek knowledge and understanding from alternative and holistic healing providers.
Rainfall Therapy and Equine Retreats
Gordon's Green Gables sits on the traditional land of the Dakota, Sioux, Anishinabe, Chippewa, and Ojibwe peoples. We acknowledge their ancestors who lived in the Hugo area and were forcibly removed from here. Hugo was the summer land of the Dakota people who harvested wild rice from the lakes in this area. Honoring the past, present, and future Indigenous stewards of this land is one small way that we are working to decolonize and spread awareness of historical truths.
