Cimena has been providing social work and therapeutic services in the Twin Cities area for children, teens, adults and families for the past 17 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge to each case with experience in post-partum depression/anxiety, trauma, and child welfare.
A strengths based perspective is used to encourage individuals and families to manage and resolve upsetting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors related traumatic life events; and to enhance safety, growth, and communication. Cimena believes in a holistic, integrative approach working with physicians, psychiatrists, body workers, nutritionists, acupuncturists, and homeopathy to provide an optimum level of care.
Working within the context of attachment and child development domains, childhood trauma and its impact on development and family functioning, Cimena is able to conduct assessments, provide consultation or expert witness testimony for agencies or families seeking to resolve parenting concerns. Dilligent efforts are put forth to collaborate with counties, judges, guardians, and parents on behalf of children.
TaNesha has been providing therapeutic services for the Twin Cities area for children, adolescents and families for the last 14 years. She has worked specifically with disenfranchised minority communities and has taken extensive multicultural training to support her work. As an African American female, TaNesha serves as both knowledgeable and an in-demand resource in that specific population. Using a holistic approach to therapy with a framework centered on reality(choice) based therapy, Tanesha looks at all aspects of a person’s life in order to help them identify areas of change. Her goal is to create a supportive and cultivating environment in which healing can take place.
During her employment, TaNesha has provided CTSS services, group therapy, early childhood mental health, and family reunification support. TaNesha's extensive experience comes from working with youth placed in foster care, foster/adoptive parents, blended families, issues with dysregulation, dual diagnosis (SPMI’s), attachment, parenting, and adoption issues. Guidance for her therapeutic approach comes from training in the evidence based DC 0-5 Diagnostic Assessments and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
